What will happen at the Longmont Hackathon event?

Join us to make government work better by collaborating with your creative friends and neighbors in a marathon app creating event. Have fun, win prizes and network while improving your community by creating new mobile apps!

Can I propose an app idea?

Yes, all ideas are welcome. The city will be providing access to several data sets with Longmont relevant information. Propose your app idea as part of the hackathon ideas. Submit your ideas online

What kinds of apps are you looking for?

Come to the City of Longmont City Council Meeting on Tuesday, January 15 at the Longmont Civic Center, 350 Kimbark Street, Longmont and propose your ideas during our Open Forum which begins at 7:00 p.m. If you cannot make it to that meeting, you can watch it live at http://www.longmontchannel.com/ and submit your ideas online.

Who’s behind the event?

Longmont Hackathon:  Is a two day hackathon event. It was conceived of by City Council and is being organized by a team of City of Longmont Staff, Pratt Street Associates and external community and business organizations.  In addition, the event is being supported by these organizations who are helping to plan the event:
